Hi! My name is Lauren and I’m a 20 something prairie girl living in Vancouver, BC. I moved to Vancouver from Edmonton in 2008 after completing my International Business degree in hopes of seeing the world and working abroad. Vancouver has kind of stuck as home for me, and I'm not complaining! BUT I did have the opportunity to work in London, England which was SO amazing! Yet, I still have more to do, more to see and definitely more errands to run.
This blog has been a long time coming with plenty of prompting from friends. “A Day with Lauren” stems from my years of being a wedding day-of coordinator, my interest in home décor, my closet full of sequins and berets and my love of weekend errands. Overall, I like to make life a bit more beautiful, whether it be spending weeks planning a dinner party down to the flowers on the table, hunting for throw pillows for days to update a room, making myself or someone feel great and confident in their outfit or executing someone’s wedding vision.
This blog will be an outlet for my various life projects and adventures: I hope to inspire people to follow through with that DIY plan, try new recipes, see the world – alone or with others - take a picture of your outfit, and make your home a reflection of you. You’ll catch on quickly that I’m an old soul and am constantly referencing old movies and songs, it’s endearing after a while… my elephant memory comes in handy for things like this! I’ll close with a quote from one of my favourite movies:
